Recensione : Gentle Spirit (Audio CD) Il disco è molto bello, e i nomi, tanti e tutti altisonanti, citati nelle recensioni lette (Eddy Cilia sul Mucchio e Marco Sideri e Piergiorgio Pardo su Blow Up, entrambi di settembre) ci possono stare - David Crosby, Neil Young, Bruce Palmer, Roy Harper, Nick Drake, Quicksilver, Pink Floyd... :O Troppo per un esordio (anche se a JW l'esperienza non manca)? Giudicate voi. Consigliato. Ah, il titolo è Gentle Spirit e non, come indicato su Amazon, TBC (cough, cough...) Alberto

Recensione : Blood Sugar Sex Magik (Audio CD) Sotto la guida di Rick Rubin, i Red Hot Chili Peppers sfornarono il loro capolavoro e uno dei migliori dischi di quello che allora veniva definito "crossover". Il suono e' "funk" e "hard" allo stesso momento, in un album che regala ritmi "torridi" dall'inizio alla fine, intervallati solo sporadicamente da qualche pezzo introspettivo come la splendida "Under the bridge". Peccato che nei dischi successivi non abbiano piu' avuto lo stesso "fuoco" creativo.

Recensione : Desaparecido (Audio CD) Dopo essersi fatti le ossa suonando per anni nei circoli e nelle cantine, i Litfiba riuscirono a pubblicare quello che, non solo e' il loro disco d'esordio, ma e' anche un vero e proprio "oggetto di culto" per i loro fans della prima ora e per tutti gli appassionati di rock italiano. "Desaparecido" risente ancora delle influenze "New wave" legate ai primi anni '80, ma e' il rock ad avere la meglio con pezzi potenti, eleganti ed aperti alle piu' disparate influenze(le orientaleggianti "Istambul" e "Tziganata"; i ritmi latini di "Desaparecido"). Cosi' scrisse Federico Fiumani dei Diaframma nelle note di copertina:" Se un giorno prendera' piede una nuova musica italiana per il mondo, questo album dovra' inevitabilmente esserne considerato l'imprescindibile punto d'avvio".
